George Gino Barca
Personal Business History
George Gino Barca took over the Barca Winery & Vineyards, Brands and many trademarks, name brands after the death of his father, Joseph Barca, on Easter Sunday, April 9, 1950. With the help of his mother, Maria Barca, he worked the Barca Ranch Vineyards, which was located seven miles west of the railroad town of Roseville, California.
Barca worked hard on the ranch and vineyards and started to lease more vineyards around the general area and also started to name his trademarks. He also got very involved with his beloved mother in her business, producing all kinds of Italian cheese, who was now developing her business around the regional areas in the general Roseville and Sacramento, California regions.
When George Gino Barca graduated from Roseville High School in 1955 he continued to work his vintage Vineyards and also took other employment at Made-Rite Sausage Company in Sacramento, California from 1955-1958. Following the employment with Made-Ride Sausage he then switched over to Aerojet General Corporation from 1958-1965. During this era he also began with United Vintners, U.S.A. of Asti, California where he was made General Sales Manager of all major chain stores, at which time United Vintners, Inc. was formed by Louis Petrei and a whole lot of Italian Investors Management team of Solari, Rossi, Dini Mcgrath, and his great friend, Peter Sargenti.
United Vintners, Inc. was incorporated by Petri Grape Growers, allied Grape Growers, and a combination of 1800 small and large growers all over. Grape Regents of California and United Vintners continued growing and purchasing wineries and vineyards.
During all these transactions, George Gino Barca was taught by Peter Sargenti and all of United Vintners top management. George Gino Barca still controls Barca International Wineries and Vineyards.
It was here where Barca learned all the wine business trade in sales management for his area of all major chant stores, and also retaining his sole ownership of Barca Wineries, Vineyards and started his dream of developing Trademarks and Business Labels from California to all of Italy. He also developed major historical names which he owned by his own family companies. As he grew, his trademark labels became very popular in the U.S.A. & Italy.
All of our companies are independent sole businesses all owned by the Barca Family of the U.S.A. and Italy, South America, Australia and all over the world.
This all happened in the late 1800’s. United Vintners, U.S.A. & Italy and Barca Wines International Wineries, Vineyards, Trademarks, Brands and Label brands developed 1250 brands or more and also helped other small and large wineries who rent and use our Grape and Beverage Labels around the world. United Vintners, U.S.A. also purchased Mission Bell Wineries & Vineyards, Lyon, Santa Fe Wineries and Labels and so many more.
When Barca published their products in the late 1950’s the wineries business had almost disappeared due to Vini Disease in most of the California top grape regions where there were less than 100 wineries in California. Today there are over 2300 wineries in which included other professional people to open their own small wineries.
California is one of the top leaders behind Italy. France is number two and California is number three. Most Europe’s wineries and other countries like China, Taiwan, and cities like Hong Kong are becoming big brokers. Wineries are growing and gaining in the wine, beverage and food business and especially the wine tasting and art shows, which are helping to raise funds for medical drugs that will hopefully beat cancer. Wine and Vineyards have been one of the best cures for thousands of years for sick and wounded people in their time of life.
Barca International U.S.A & Italy is the general owner and trustee of 25 business sole proprietorships and is an Irrevocable Corporate Trust Business led by the bloodline of Hannibal Barca family who was the leader and warrior of the Nation of Cartage off of the northern tip of Africa, next to the nation of Marta and next to the then nation of Sicily, part of Italy and the Roman empire.
Hannibal trained elephants to carry him and his family of soldiers throughout Europe and over the Alp Mountains to conquer the Roman Empire, which was known as the Punic Wars around 250 B.C.
Hannibal Barca, who was a follower of Alexander the Great of Greece, along with his family were also very involved in agriculture and the planting of grapes from the banks of the Mediterranean ocean. They would cross the roots with olive trees and orchard roots, which took him several years to develop grape vines like a tree. From that period the vines grew grapes hanging from the trees as they grew from the tree limbs to other tree limbs with grapes hanging from limb to limbs.
As Hannibal rode all over Europe he taught all the tribes in Italy, Sicily, Greece, Spain, France, and Portugal; and helped these nations in becoming very productive grape growers by blending root stock and blending wines in accordance with each of these tribes and countries. He was able to build a large business selling wines and grapes in every country he touched as he travelled throughout Europe. He preferred the red wines over the white wines and also developed the fruit wines, which made him very popular as he became known as the “Wine Man” during this era of 250 B.C.
About the time that George Gino Barca began to develop a very keen interest in Hannibal Barca, he began to lease grape land around the Roseville, Placer County and Sacramento Counties. He joined the United Vintners, U.S.A. of Sonoma County, Napa Valley and gained control of all the large chain stores with his dear friends, Pete Sargenti and Louis Petri, the college graduate and son of Angelo Petri. It was Angelo who purchased several wineries and brands and married the cella daughter whose family owned the Roman Winery located in Fresno, California, which was the front runner in sales in the early 1940’s throughout the U.S.A.
The Petri Brand was right behind the Roma Brand, but Roma got a large sale to National Distributers, a large liquor firm. Louis Petri kept purchasing wineries and brands all over California and out-bid Gallo in purchasing an up-and-coming Italian Swiss Colony, a large Co-op with historic wineries and vineyards. He also purchased Mission Bell, Lejon Wines, Brandies and champagnes, a well-known brand name in all supermarkets. Louis Petri also formed Allied Grape Growers, which became the largest Grape Grower in the world and sold grapes to other wineries besides Petri Wineries. They are still in business today as the top producer of grapes in California and the Allied Grape Growers, California, a farm co-op that sells grapes to small wineries in California and to other countries around the world.
Our family is very proud of all these transactions, which our family has been a part of during these times and past history of the 1800’s, the early 1900’s and my total personal life.
Gino Barca believes it is important to keep living a general daily life history in yourself while talking to God Almighty and all His servants, saints, angels and all the Holy people of heaven and earth, person to person and God will cause miracles to come true at certain periods of your life.
